ON THE THRESHOLD I was recently asked to do a pet portrait for the Holiday Menagerie Show with GiacobbeFritz Fine Art in Santa Fe, New Mexico. My black labrador, Harriett, is totally obsessed with her red ball and I knew I could find a good picture from which to work. Here she is, waiting on the threshold of my studio, for someone to pick up that ball and give it a toss.
