Police Car Moth While spending time with friends in the mountains of Colorado, I took a walk through the garden looking for interesting flora and fauna and came across this beautiful moth. The distinctive abstract black and white pattern against the yellow of the Goldenrod was exquisite. I did a bit of research on the moth and discovered it is called a Police Car Moth. It’s name derived from the black and white coloration on the wings and two red-orange spots on the collar.
