This particular dragonfly hangs around my water garden, lighting above the waters edge to gain a view of ‘his’ territory. True to his name, he is a brilliant neon orange-red in the sun and easy to spot. In the right light, the leaves of the water iris glow a lime green and the two together stand out like a neon sign.
