Twist-leaf Yucca rarely makes it to bloom around my house. The deer nip off the buds like succulent hors d’ oeurves. When they do bloom, they are spectacular. This yucca bloomed outside my studio window one year and I found the blossoms to be amazing abstract, translucent, spheres. I knew that I would one day paint it. I was delighted to add my favorite spider dropping out of the blossoms, a "Daring Jumping Spider"!
